Latur: The Junior Cricket Premier League T-20 tournament, organized to provide a platform for young cricketers in the district, was conducted with great enthusiasm. The tournament was held from December 3 to 9 at the ground of Dayanand College, under the guidance of Dr. Nikhil Kale and Dreams Cricket Coaching, Latur.
In the competition, the Royal Nanded team emerged as the winner.
In its second year, the tournament saw participation from around 100 players under the age of 17 from across Latur district. Over four days of matches, players displayed excellent skills, determination, and sportsmanship.
Former Indian cricket international coach Sanjay Bangar extended his best wishes to the tournament and expressed his desire to visit Latur soon. His encouragement boosted the morale of the young players.
With consistent all-round performance, Royal Nanded secured the championship title, winning the final match impressively and winning the hearts of the spectators.
At the prize distribution ceremony, winners and runners-up were awarded electric bicycles, cricket kits, sports equipment, and cash prizes.
The tournament was successfully organized with the support of Dr. Nikhil Kale, Dr. Shweta Bhatambre, Manoj Pitale, Ashish Munge, Nilesh Poddar, Sanjay Salunke, and Datta Rokde.
This competition provided a valuable platform for young cricketers in Latur and contributed positively to the development of sports in the district.
